In addition, the Head of Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) UNP, Prof. Dr. Anton Komaini, S.Si., M.Pd., as well as faculty members and guests from other domestic and international universities, also attended. In his address, the UNP Rector expressed that the International Conference could serve as a pivotal moment in UNP's efforts to pursue knowledge, innovation, and advancements in the field of sports science. He emphasized that gatherings like this conference are opportunities to share insights, research findings, and ideas that have the potential to revolutionize the world of sports. As the UNP Rector, he expressed pride in UNP's leadership in international meetings, highlighting it as evidence of their commitment to research and innovation. He encouraged participants to make the most of the conference, engage in dynamic discussions, forge meaningful connections, and, most importantly, be inspired by sports science for a healthier and prosperous future. He concluded by thanking everyone and expressing hope that the conference would serve as a source of enlightenment and inspiration for all.

The International Conference, now in its 8th iteration since 2015, is organized by FIK UNP. Dr. Rika Sepriani, M.Farm., Apt, the chairperson, highlighted that the conference aims to create a space where researchers and practitioners can exchange academic knowledge and establish networks among Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD students with similar interests. The successful organization of the conference is attributed to the dedication and hard work of the organizing committee, supported by the Faculty of Sports Science at Universitas Negeri Padang (FIK-UNP). The collective effort of everyone involved in this conference is a core strength that adds significant value to the event. Dr. Rika Sepriani, M.Farm., Apt, concluded by expressing her hope that all participants would enjoy a pleasant and productive time in Padang, leaving with fond memories of the conference. The seminar had a total of 325 participants, including undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, as well as faculty members from both domestic and international universities. International participants hailed from Malaysia, Turkey, Poland, Belgium, among others.

Kes dengan  tema  Swimming  Pool Water  Quality  Analysis  In  The  City  Of  Padang  And  Its  Impact  On Swimmers’ Health dan Prof. Dr. M. Sazeli Rifki, S.Si., M. Pd dengan tema Development of Instruments For Youth Athlete Selection In Volleyball

The International Conference held on June 24-25, 2024, will select the best articles for publication in several prestigious journals: (1) Retos, indexed in Scopus Q2; (2) International Journal of Human Movement and Sports Sciences, indexed in Scopus Q3; (3) Journal of Sport and Health Research, indexed in Scopus Q3; (4) Fizjoterapia Polska, indexed in Scopus Q4; (5) SINTA 2-supported journals; and (6) SINTA 3 and 4-supported journals managed by FIK UNP. Future conferences are expected to attract more participants and presenters from various countries, thereby increasing the impact and significance of these activities.
