The Only Representative of West Sumatra at the 2024 ASEAN University Games

It seems like Riyo Zulia Wandra, an athlete from Universitas Negeri Padang, is set to represent Indonesia in Sepaktakraw at the ASEAN University Games in Malang. According to the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Padang, Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan, M.Pd, Riyo is the only student from West Sumatra who has been called up to the national team for Sepaktakraw at the university level.

Riyo Zulia Wandra, born on March 6, 2003, from Padang, is a student of the 2021 cohort in the Department of Sports Education at FIK UNP. He plays as a Tekong in sepaktakraw and stands tall at 180cm. Riyo is also a graduate of the Regional Training Center for Sports (PPLP) in West Sumatra, demonstrating potential to achieve championship titles in international competitions.

Event tersebut akan diselenggarakan dari tanggal 1 hingga 6 Juli 2024 di Universitas Brawijaya, Kota Malang.
