Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) Study Program of the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK), Padang State University (UNP) Achieves Excellent Accreditation

Padang, June 10, 2025 - Padang State University (UNP) has made another proud achievement. The Physical Education, Health and Recreation (PJKR) S1 Study Program, Faculty of Sports Science (FIK), has successfully obtained the predicate of Superior in the re-accreditation process. This achievement is clear evidence of FIK UNP's commitment to providing quality higher education and producing competent graduates in the field of sport, health and recreation.

UNP Rector Ir. Krismadinata, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. Prof., expressed his high appreciation for this achievement. "This excellent predicate is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of all academicians of the PJKR FIK UNP Study Program. This result also confirms UNP's position as a university that always strives to improve the quality of education and the competitiveness of its graduates at the national level," he said.

Dean of FIK UNP Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan, M.Pd. added that this success is the result of a planned and measurable development strategy. Efforts to improve the quality of learning include improving the curriculum that is responsive to the latest developments, increasing the capacity of lecturers through training and professional development programs, as well as optimizing educational support facilities and infrastructure. "We are committed to continuing to strengthen the quality of the PJKR Study Program in order to always produce graduates who are ready to face global dynamics," said the Dean.

With the achievement of this Superior accreditation, it is expected that the competitiveness of PJKR UNP graduates will increase, so that they are able to contribute significantly to development in the field of sports, health and recreation, both at the West Sumatra regional and national levels. FIK UNP is fully committed to supporting the sustainable development of the PJKR Study Program to become a center of excellence in the field of physical education, health, and recreation. (FM)
