FIK UNP students achieve brilliant achievements, buying medals at the Indonesian Student Martial Arts Invitation Event

Padang, May 23, 2025 - The Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) of Padang State University (UNP) triumphed again in the national arena, proudly announcing the brilliant achievements of its athletes who competed in the Student Martial Arts Invitation Event. The UNP contingent managed to buy medals from 3 sports: pencak silat, wrestling and kempo. It was held from May 20-22, 2025 in Jakarta. The competition, which was attended by various universities from all over Indonesia, became a place to prove the ability and fighting mentality of the athletes.

The head of the contingent as well as the UNP pencak silat coach Juanda Putra M.Pd and all the coaching staff, said that this achievement was the sweet fruit of hard work, intensive training, and the overflowing unyielding spirit of the athletes, said the coach who also dissolved in the euphoria of victory.

The Dean of FIK UNP Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan, M.Pd. expressed his high appreciation for this achievement and hopes that this success can motivate other students to achieve other proud achievements. This achievement also further strengthens the position of FIK UNP as a higher education institution that is committed to developing student potential in the field of sports. (FM)
