IKOR FIK UNP Doctoral Study Program Revitalizes Curriculum, Encourages UNP to Become an Elite University in Indonesia in 2026

Padang, 22 May 2025 - The Doctoral Study Program (S3) of Sports Science (IKOR), Faculty of Sports Science (FIK), Padang State University (UNP) today carried out curriculum revitalization. This activity is a strategic step for the IKOR FIK UNP S3 study program in improving the quality of education and producing superior and competitive graduates. This curriculum revitalization emphasizes laboratory integration in each course, in line with the vision of the UNP Rector to make UNP an elite university in 2026.

Dean of FIK UNP, Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his high appreciation for the implementation of this activity. "The revitalization of the S3 IKOR curriculum is not just a material update, but also a transformation of learning methods that are more innovative and applicable," he said. "By involving laboratories intensively in every lecture, students will have a more practical and skillful learning experience in facing the challenges of an increasingly dynamic world of work. This is in line with the target of UNP Rector Ir. Krismadinata, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. to make UNP an elite university in 2026.

The Head of the IKOR FIK UNP S3 Study Program, Prof. Dr. Alnedral, M.Pd., hopes that with this revitalized curriculum, graduates of S3 IKOR FIK UNP will be of higher quality and able to contribute significantly to the progress of the nation. It is hoped that the revitalization of this curriculum will increase the competitiveness of S3 IKOR FIK UNP graduates and support the target of the UNP rector in 2026. (FM)
